Can't tell y'all how excited we were to record this episode. Today we have a special guest, Matt Freeman from the Statist Quo Podcast, joining us to discuss the difference between the public's perception and the reality of Fire/EMS in the United States. More so now than ever, first responders are put on a pedal stool that is comparable to Military service. Every time you see the ambulances and fire trucks responding, you get out of the way, allow to them pass, and let them handle the emergency. The reality, more often than not, when you see a responding ambulance or fire truck is that the "emergency" these units are responding to is super trivial. To give you an idea of what we respond to, were gonna talk about some of the stand out calls we’ve ran as both Firefighters and EMT’s/Paramedics. In addition, we'll tackle the systemic abuse of EMS and the interaction between fire, EMS, and law enforcement; specifically related to drug abuse. Enjoy!

As we're sure some of you have noticed, we occasionally run into technical difficulties while recording our episodes. We're not sound quality experts, nor do we have the technical expertise to create perfect sound quality. We had a few difficulties while recording this episode; however, we feel that the quality of material was too great to not pass it on to our listeners. Nonetheless, we were excited to have Matt as a guest on our show and hope you enjoy the episode as much as we did recording it.
