In this episode we bring you an inspiring story of a former basketball player, SWAT negotiator and cancer survivor- Terry. Terry Tucker is a former NCAA Division I basketball player, SWAT Hostage Negotiator, and cancer warrior for the past twelve years (which has included the amputation of his foot in 2018 and leg in 2020). He shares his journey from childhood to adulthood. Blessed with extraordinary height (6 foot 8 inches) and talent, he began to hone his athletic skills early on in life. Despite having 3 knee surgeries, he earned a full ride college basket ball scholarship and played the legendary against Michael Jordan when he was still at NC state. After college, he went to corporate America to fulfill his dad's wish but pivoted to pursuing his one true passion which was working as a police officer and SWAT hostage negotiator where he helped to save lives and help people in dire situations. Thirteen years ago, he was diagnosed with a rare form of Melanoma which ultimately led to the amputation of his leg and he has been a warrior/survivor all of these years. He shares how he focuses on the healthy aspects of being sick by concentrating on 4 Truths to help others lead their uncommon and extraordinary life. In this episode he shares those truths and gives very important life advice to young people and people at every stage in life.
