Today in the LAB, I'm excited to introduce you to my friend, Rebecca! Wow, what a journey she's been on - From party girl to holistic traveler to podcast host and Buddhist chant practitioner, I'm thrilled that Rebecca decided to share some of her journey with us here. Buddhist Chant: Nam-myoho-renge-kyo
- Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is a vow, an expression of determination, to embrace and manifest our Buddha nature.
- It is a pledge to oneself to never yield to difficulties and to win over one's suffering.
- The phrase literally means, "I take refuge in the Lotus of the Wonderful Law."
- By reciting this mantra, practitioners endeavor to change their karma, overcoming obstacles to success or happiness.

Rebecca Schlosser is host of the podcast “Bloom with a Boom; Wisdom from my Prickly Path.” She is also a chanting yogi, late bloomer, writer and high desert dweller. In 2017 Rebeca moved from New York to New Mexico, trading big city for green chili and prickly cactus plants. After working for many years in sales, she is now exploring life as a curious entrepreneur, interviewing people from all walks of life who are committed to living authentically and trying new things. Rebecca resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico with her partner and dog-der, and enjoys yoga, hiking, travel, cooking and learning to play keyboard piano.
