In this final installment of What The Nanny Hear Next Charlotte, Charlie and Millie interview Helen, a primary school teacher.

Helen chats about her career from adverts, in her sitting room window at 15 years old, to Nanny then primary school teacher.

Despite taking on different pressures such as class sizes and parental expectation Helen loves to build relationships and foster children’s love of learning. 

Having come from a Nannying background Helen is aware that each child is an individual and has their own preferred learning style. She teaches children to embrace their ‘Marvellous Mistakes’. 

She discusses how she is used to the level of standard a Nanny is required to work to and transfers that to her classroom. Helen explains how she utilises her Nannying skills, to enable her to be an incredible primary school teacher, being able to see the whole picture of the child, and their family, to support them appropriately.
