Does It Really Work? | Week 4 | Does Forgiveness Really Work? | Pastor Tyler Sollie | Life Center Tacoma

Forgiveness isn't a FEELING

“Forgiveness is granted (often a good while) before it is felt—not felt before it is granted. It is a promise to not exact the price of sin from the person who hurt you."

"If you wait to feel it before you grant it, you’ll never grant it; you’ll be in an anger prison.”

-Tim Keller

Colossians 3:12-13 (CSB)

For a Jesus follower, FORGIVENESS isn't OPTIONAL

Forgiveness is HARD WORK because it is HEART WORK

Matthew 18:21-35 (CSB)

Forgiveness is not the same as RESTORATION

Amos 3:3 (CSB)

The PRICE of forgiveness is FREE and the PRODUCT of forgiveness is FREEDOM

“To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.”

Our Mission: Bring life in Jesus to every life in our communities.

The Church is HOPE for a HURTING world

Two ways the Church "Doesn't Work"...

When it becomes CONTENT we CONSUME but not a CALLING we LIVE

James 1:22 (CSB)

Two ways the Church "Doesn't Work"...

When we improperly elevate our INDIVIDUALITY above our calling to CONNECTION and BIBLICAL COMMUNITY

Acts 2:42-47 (CSB)

The Church is a BRIDE we are BECOMING

The Church is a BODY we BELONG to
