God is sovereignly causing the covenantal promise that he made to Abraham in Genesis 12:1-3 to come to pass. God has elected Joseph to be the one through whom this promise will come to fruition. God begins to do this in Joseph’s life by giving him very specific dreams about his future.

As Christians we are called to serve one another and the people around us. Why? Because Christ served us first in the gospel!

It's not that we have to go to church, it's that you and I get a church, which is a gift from God, and that's good news, because we need a church.

We don’t HAVE to give and be generous with what God has given us, we GET to give and be generous with what God has given us. At LCC giving is not central, the gospel is central, and then we see generosity flow from hearts that are set on the gospel.

God is a speaking God. As his people we have the great opportunity to listen as he speaks to our hearts through his word.

Jesus taught that the foundation of prayer is knowing God as our Father, and adoring him. From this basis everything else flows.

God in his compassionate mercy extends grace to Jonah a second time. First time was through a fish, this time through a plant. This was to teach Jonah his heart to extend his covenant love to pagans and gentiles. He is revealing the redemptive narrative of the whole Bible to Jonah.
