He summed everything up into two simple commands…love God and love others. It's time to get back to the basics and be the church God has called us to be.

The next thing we must add to our faith is perseverance. Perseverance is the will to stay the course and reflect the character of Christ, even in the midst of a trial or test. Many people will lose will power at this point in their own strength, which is why it is so important to stay connected to Christ and the strength He gives us.

God has so much for your life, great and precious promises. His word instructs us to continue to supplement our faith with moral excellence, knowledge and, as we talked about Sunday, self-control.
