“The Bible’s not a book to feel obligated to read. The Bible’s a book to build your life upon.” -Tim Mangan
In this series, we’re looking at what the Bible says about how we can take a hold of God’s promise and plans, and live fruitful and fruit-filled lives we’re called to. This week we heard about the importance of being planted in the Word.
“When we live by faith, and walk in wisdom, we will rest in the peace that God has for us.” -Tim Mangan
We sure hope that you were able to watch theis service as we launched Life Church Online for the first time! Exciting stuff! We did continue our series called “Planted” this week as we heard Pastor Tim talking about being planted in the storm.
“God doesn’t tell us His plans, and then force them upon us; instead He tells us about them, and then leads us into them.” -Tim Mangan
It can be really easy to go through life with average results, not because God has average plans, but because we’re simply planted in the wrong place. If we don’t know any better, we can get familiar and comfortable, so average results are just the norm. God has more for us. In this series, we’re looking at what the Bible says about how we can take a hold of God’s promise and plans, and live fruitful and fruit-filled lives we’re called to. We are getting into the how and why it is important to be planted so we can flourish.
“If we want to produce fruit in our lives, we need to focus not on the fruit that we bear, but on the roots that we plant.” -Tim Mangan
This week, we started the new series called “Planted” here in church. We learned that, even though it is great to attend church — and everyone needs to start there, God has more in store for each of us. In order to take hold of the best that God has for us, we need to be planted in His house.
“The level of intimacy you have with the Lord will always determine the level at which you evangelize.” —Jordan Gonzalez
This week we’re in part 3 of the series “Therefore, Go.” We heard from Jordan Gonzalez speaking more about evangelism and we learn how we can’t evangelize without receiving that we are new creations as it says in the Bible.
“Just because the tree isn’t shown, it doesn’t mean the seed isn’t sown.” -Tim Mangan
This week in church we continued our “Therefore, Go” series. We heard a message brought by Pastor Tim who gives us insight into the mission that Jesus has called us to continue in the world —Evangelism. We learned of the importance of ‘sowing seeds’ for the Kingdom of Christ.
“Do you know why Jesus could endure that cross? …It’s because He saw you on the other side of it…He saw you free, forgiven, whole. Because of that, He went willingly to it.” - Tim Mangan
In this new series, ‘Therefore, Go,” we are able to see when Jesus called his disciples to follow Him, they weren’t meant only to be followers, but rather become fishers for people. We can see this is His call for our lives too.
“Having vision doesn’t remove hardship, but having vision will always get you through hardship.” - Tim Mangan
This week, we wrapped up the series called “20/20 Vision” at Life Church. We heard from Pastor Tim about the importance of seeing past the hardships of life.
“Everyday when we wake up, we have a choice; whether we’re going to take ground or whether we’re going to lay down.” - Steph Mangan
Sometimes in life, we just need some encouragement to keep going no matter our circumstances. Sometimes the our present circumstances can make the past seem enticing and we can start longing for the ‘good old days.’ It can make us want to turn from the path to the promised land.
Encouragement is exactly what we receive from Steph Mangan in this message about keeping up with keeping on, especially on the “Desert Road.”
