Life Church Livonia

Winter is a time where everything dies, and we feel it.  Depression is higher, loneliness is higher, sickness is increased, and apathy sets in.  We try to fight against it by taking trips to warmer places, setting new year’s resolutions, getting back to the gym, etc. but these things usually don’t produce the change and hope we’re looking for.  Regardless of the season, God’s plan for you is that you would have a flourishing life in him in every season.  The question is, “How?”.  Join us as we see what the Bible says about what it looks like to live a flourishing life.

Life seems to becoming increasingly complex. In a world that is so chaotic, divided and violent, it can be easy to let the intensity and anxiety drown our souls and warp our perspectives. This year, we are simply returning to the Christmas story not because we need new information, but because we need to be reminded that in the coming of Jesus Christ, heaven is coming to earth. We remember that we know the end of the story when God makes all things new, and right and good. As we anchor ourselves in this remembrance, it allows us to simply rest, be simply joyful and simply be as we simply celebrate Christmas.

Life Church Livonia is in the midst of our Home Campaign. We cannot wait to see where God leads us to have a permanent home, and what he does through His church in this next season. However, it’s important that we remind ourselves WHY we are doing this campaign, WHY we exist as a church and WHAT we are here to do in Metro Detroit. In this series we will remind ourselves what Life (and Life Church) Is really about as we seek to be Real People, following our Real God and experiencing Real Life and Life to the full in Jesus Christ.
