God has already set the table — the question is, will you get up and take what’s been provided? Scripture shows us people like Blind Bartimaeus and the woman with the issue of blood who didn’t sit back waiting; they went after what they needed. Jesus has already made provision but “receive” in the Greek (lambanō) means to take it. Stop sitting at the table hungry. Get up, grab your plate, and go after what He’s already made available.

God created friendship as one of the ways we learn what steady love looks like—a friend who stays, even when things are hard (Proverbs 17:17). That same faithfulness matters in our relationship with God; we shouldn’t give Him less care or consistency than we would a human friend. When Jesus told His followers to feed His sheep, He made it clear that loving Him means paying attention to and caring for others. Being a friend of God means being a friend to others.
