We were created in Christ for the purpose of doing good things. God's work in our hearts is to that end - that we would have a desire to live a life filled with beneficial deeds. All that God has provided and enabled us to do should be utilized for Him.

The Christian life can be described as both easy and hard. We are instructed to fight the good fight of faith. Scripture not only teaches the "rest" of faith, but also that we must have strength, discipline, effort and endurance.

Once a person has an understanding of true love, they must focus on abiding in it at all times. This teaching covers four principles to follow to keep oneself in the love of God.

Physical problems are not the will of God, His method of teaching, punishment, nor are they waiting on God to heal. Faith for healing is seen in how a person calls on the Lord, receives His word and responds to His instruction.

True love does not deliberately keep records of wrongs or past mistakes. This is the most basic tenet of Christianity. We have been forgiven and so we forgive others.

As New Testament believers, we are instructed to pay people what we owe them. Love does no harm to its neighbor and therefore will own up to wrong actions done toward them. The self-seeking person will put the onus on others to forgive.

Jesus didn't always couch His corrections in positive statements of reinforcement. In love, He went straight to the heart of people's problems so their lives could be made right. Only then could they experience God's best.
