People are designed to connect with God. Our connection with God, or lack of it, determines the fruitfulness of our lives. As we start off a new year, it's the perfect time to intentionally make God the first thing in our lives. But how do we do that? We make God the beginning of everything.

Everyone can get better. The Bible calls this process transformation - being changed from the inside out. God has a plan for our lives and in order to fulfill that plan, we must allow Him to transform us.

Joy is a gift of God for every believer. Joy is not the same as happiness, which is changing and temporary. Joy is a permanent gift from God - but we must fight for it. True joy begins with salvation, is encouraged by others, and must always be fought for.

It is easy to become deceived, believing that their good character and morals will get us into heaven. The truth is, God demands perfection and holiness to enter. Since all have sinned, the only way into heaven is to trust that Jesus took our sins on Himself, died in our place, and can give us His righteousness and perfection when we admit we are sinners, repent, and trust Him. That frees us for a relationship with Him and gives us real freedom.

Legacy is all about the generations and passing things on. Legacy is about what
people say about us when we are gone. It is a part of our DNA to pass something on. Legacy is passing things on to the people coming after us.

At some level all people want to make a difference, living a life that outlives their short time on Earth. God has designed and destined us to live lives that are bigger than we are. We do that by realizing God has created and gifted each one of us for a purpose. He calls us and we step into the calling He has for us by getting to Know God, then Finding Freedom, Discovering the Purpose He has for us, and finally, Making a Difference in our world by following Him in our calling.
