David was great, but God is greater. And while David thought he has something to offer God, God through the Davidic covenant paved the way to Christ!

David knows he is going to be King, but through these early chapters we see time and again, he is not willing to rush God.

King David danced “before the Lord”, but he also is well aware he was being watched. Let us learn from David about our own opportunity for private worship of Jesus to spill out into public and encourage those around us.
