John15.5-8,15-16; Eph.1:15-19; 1.Janův5.14-16; Hebrews4.16; 1.Korintským2.9-10-14; Romans8.14; Too often prayer has been seen as a religious activity with no sense to it.Prayer is NOT an emotional release mechanism for our soul, a sort of dumping our feelings on God so we feel better.Prayer is NOT a fire alarm or fire extinguisher we use only in emergencies.Effective prayer is knowing God better, knowing his will better and answered prayer.First we must learn that the ability to pray comes from a position of knowing who God is and what the will of God is.

But when they saw and heard Jesus pray, when they saw the results of the prayers of Jesus, they knew to ask, Lord teach us to pray! How did he make the connection, and how did he keep the connection? Do you desire a different prayer life, a prayer life like his?How do I draw from my time with God so that I am refreshed, strengthened, directed and assured of the will of God?

Instinctively, my soul knows more than my brain does. God created me to hunger and thirst for HIM like my body hungers and thirsts for food and water.

I am concerned Our path of growth is supposed to “away from the center of the universe.”There seems to be this teaching that God has kept us in the center of the universe when we were saved. Maybe it is not said that way, but the outcome of self centered, self-glorifying doctrine has had this result.

We desire and expect good, happiness, health, growth and forward movement. All that God created he called good.But what happens when it doesn't go this way? When we realize that we live in a fallen world, with fallen men?What happens when we receive something that we didn’t expect or want? When we come face to face with loss, sickness, even death. These things were never meant to be, not in the world that God planned. One day it will once again be the place where all tears are wiped away and peace rules. But what do we do now?
