Austin (@Round_Trippers) and Felipe (@pathological_h8) are joined by James (Twitch: SlySSB) to discuss the strategy and logic that was involved in the 2022 Baseball Life Fantasy Baseball League, a Head-to-Head, 12 by 12 Semiweekly Categories' League.
The league was created as all fantasy leaguers are members of the Baseball Life Facebook group and that is the group that the Total Bases Podcast goes live on every Sunday morning at 11:00 AM Eastern Time:

Aside from discussing our favorite draft picks, we also share our least favorite selections and try to go into the mind of the fantasy owners making these picks as we try to find reason why certain baseball players were selected over others.
We also go into positional "what-ifs" as we try to gauge if "Player X" at "Position Y" was really the best selection compared to the other players that went by at that same position.
We also discuss the downfall of drafting players from your favorite Major League Baseball teams, but why it might work in certain cases.

Felipe (@pathological_h8) and Austin (@Round_Trippers) discuss a wide array of baseball topics on this episode of the Total Bases Podcast!
The show starts off with a quick overview of the top 10 First Basemen rankings entering the 2022 season, most notably Matt Olson, Paul Goldschmidt, and Jose Abreu.
The discussion then transitions into bunting as a viable way to counterattack the high velocities in pitching fastballs and extreme shifts. The guys also talk about the very few times it is ok to bunt the ball as both agree that it should be done in very small doses throughout the game.
Talks then go into ballparks and what the guys look for when they walk into a new baseball stadium in terms of aesthetic-pleasing qualities. This topic was ignited when Austin retold of his time that he went to Oakland to catch an A's game and was very unimpressed with their ballpark.
Also on the docket is how Major League Baseball's marketing campaigns differs with other major sports like NASCAR, the NFL, and the NBA as the guys try to explain why a player like the Miami Heat's Tyler Herro has more Instagram followers than Bryce Harper, Mike Trout, and Fernando Tatis Jr. and what MLB fails to do to push their best, individual players in order for them to have more crossover appeal into a mainstream audience.
