Dr. Lillian Dube was born in Orlando East, Soweto and she once lived in Lesotho.

She started an acting career in the 1980s and she has created, produced and starred in the SABC2 sitcom Skwizas.
Lillian is a cancer survivor and has been diagnosed since 2007.
She also established a casting company, Lillian Dube Casting Agency in Johannesburg.
She had a role on SABC2 Sotho drama, Mopheme as Mmaratana.
In 2014, she was honoured with Lifetime Achiever Award from Theatre Guild.
She starred in Curl Up and Dye, a theatre production that toured Scotland and Germany in 2009.
