Life in God 

The world’s attitude, says that you and I are whatever we make ourselves to be, or that we are whatever we have been made to be by forces that influence us. 

There is a general distrust of authority all around. We are told to trust ourselves over the “authorities of the world”.  “Life’s better in my hands.” 

As we celebrate the Transfiguration of our Lord,  we start a time seeing that who Jesus is who he has called us to be. We see and hear from heaven that Life is better not when we listen to others or to ourselves but when we listen to God. He calls us to see and hear His Son. The church as more than an earthly institution. Our “Life Together” is the repentant Body of Christ coming together again and again to hear the stories of the Father’s dependable care for us.
