Continuing on reflects just the surface of movement. What lies beneath is more than fluid, it's conscious effort. We've been taught that progress is linear, by posting goals, creating goal posts, yet we seldom look at the conditions and considerations that unlock, or rather, lock in the achievement.
We pay less attention to the continuum, the accumulation, the cumulative effects, the things we've turned into second nature. Instinct... is it? Habit? Routine?
Oh, how we're obsessed with final forms, stated objectives, that we can get lost in them, as if mortality itself were something more than an imperative, more than a feeling.
Also: I take back the end of the podcast, where I talk about the World According To Jim. It's turned into a comfort show, as it seems to share and show care and love and intimacy between two people, two lovers of life working through. Is it somewhat problematic? Of course it is, we're still working on making it perfect, but for some, based on where they've been, they already know it as perfection.
