Jesus said in the last days the love of many would grow cold. The Apostle Paul said in the last days people would be lovers of themselves, rather than lovers of God. As a result they would have a form of godliness, but it would not have the power to transform their lives. 

There are signs occurring around the world that are reminding us that Jesus return for His church is imminent. There will be a rapture of the church, Jesus will catch away His church prior to the tribulation. 

Is the war in Gaza between Israel and Hamas a sign? Are the current events warning Christians about the imminent return of Christ? If so, what should our response be to these events as Christ followers?

A disciple who follows Jesus as Lord, needs to be filled with the Spirit. Everyday life will deplete a Christian emotionally and spiritually and that's why we need to be filled continuously with the Holy Spirit. 

A Christian is someone who is born again and follows the life and teachings of Jesus. Jesus promised His disciples an experience with the Holy Spirit, separate and distinct from new birth called the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Now more than ever, followers of Jesus need the power of the Holy Spirit.

A disciple of Jesus makes disciples. Jesus called His followers to go out into the world, share the gospel and make disciples. Now more than ever our world needs Jesus; the harvest is waiting, but the laborers are few.

A disciple is born again. A disciple has received the Holy Spirit. A disciple produces spiritual fruit. A disciple follows Jesus as Lord.

Jesus call people to follow Him. Jesus is Savior and He is Lord. In order to follow Jesus as Lord we must be born again. In order to follow Jesus as Lord we need the help and power of the Holy Spirit. In order to follow Jesus as Lord, requires humility.

Are a Christian, a disciple, learner and follower of Jesus? Christianity isn't a matter of identifying with Jesus in regards to religion, culture or tradition. Being a Christian, means you are following Jesus in every facet of life.
