I decided to be transparent today and give you the numbers on the podcast for the first quarter. What started out as a trial has now become a start-up to me and I plan to work it like one. I want to expand the scope of the podcast and will over the coming year with your help. 

I've been thinking of starting a newsletter. This would be to replace the blog which really isn't a blog anymore. I use it to post my podcasts. What I'm thinking is a once a month newsletter that is delivered via email where you would get one podcast from the month prior (the most downloaded) and then a few links to articles I believe you may like and maybe a paragraph or two from me about whatever. I also went ahead and set up a community on Mighty Bell which is a great new platform for interacting with listeners or anyone. You go to this link  and sign up. You can create your own profile and we can interact and discuss topics that need to be covered or were covered.

Hump Day on It's All Mishegoss!

You ask what's new?

This week I will be trying a new sidekick to the podcast. It's called Z Cast and it is tied to Twitter. You will be able to listen on Twitter and also tweet comments and questions to me while I am live and then I can answer you right then and there instead of waiting. I don't know how it will work, but it's worth a shot. My Twitter handle is @markjohn1 (clickable link).

I have been thinking about whether to continue the blog as a side to the podcast or dump the blog for a newsletter. I've talked to the people that I know who I consider the experts and, to be honest, I have so many ideas from them I am confused. I talk about my idea on here and if you wouldn't mind letting me know your thoughts, that would be great?

New idea for a senior men's lifestyle blog/magazine. Although I am going to tie to a blog called To Be The Man. Check it out by clicking on the name and then signup to keep informed.

I touched on stress a little today. Visualization works for me and I think it may work for you. Give it a try. Don't limit yourself to just one thought.

Well it's Hump Day Mishegoss and I have a slew of things to think about starting out with:

The capture of one of the masterminds of the Paris Bombings last year in Brussels. Then the reciprocation the other day of a bombing in Brussels that killed over 30 people.

The deaths of Ken Howard the actor and Joe Garagiola who interview me years ago.

Then we get talking a  little business advice from a senior investor, me to young entrepreneurs trying to get money from people like me.

After some exhaustive research this past week it has been proven that only Wednesday can be Hump Day. I listened, asked and read answers from all over to my questions about hump day and the answer were conclusive, Wednesday is Hump Day.

A matter of politics. Who do you think will win this election?

On the news front, nothing good. Deaths, suicides and bombings are in order.

Changes on the blogs in my empire. Health in the Laugh Lane is on vacation and It's All Mishegoss is up and running but you need to sign up again if you were signed up before.

Finally, when you meet a business person from years ago don't think they don't know about business today!

Is it truly Hump Day? Yes and know. Depends on when your weekend starts. I think we can all say hump day is virtually every day!

I wanted to do a couple of shout outs today to Product Hunt for featuring our podcast #29 today on Product Hunt. I was very excited and humbled at the same time. Thanks to Erik and Ryan at Product Hunt.

Spring is almost here and it's time for changes that make sense for us.

One of the things I want to do is get more of you involved live. to do that I am considering using YouTube along with Shout Engine and Sound Cloud to give you a voice as I podcast. My thinking is it would make for a better interactive show. Would love your thoughts?

I also want to cover more mainstream topics like health, sports, technology, social media and more that fit the Mishegoss definition. You know, crazy, insane and mad. Just politics alone would make a great show for the year.

I would really like to read what you have to say and get all of you involved in a live podcast. Let me know if you would be willing to join in.

Today on the podcast we are talking about Con-Men vs con-men. Con-Men that can steal with a license vs con-men that go to jail for the same thing. The truth be told there isn't a difference in their con, it's just in their ways.

Plus I start a little intro into start-ups now and then for tomorrow's podcast.

Have you ever thought about the science of asking for money? It isn't just something you do and get right the first time. As some of the best con-men int he world. Salespeople who have been asking for money for years. There is a science. In this day and age, it seems to me founders believe money should be handed to them without building a community first. Getting that community to believe in you and your idea. That community is your investors VC and family and any others you feel may invest in your idea and you. Listen in for more!

I found the best app I have seen in a very long time yesterday on Product Hunt called ANCHOR. This has to be the best app ever. I found it to be perfect for those updates I've been wanting to do that are under 2 minutes. You can record a wave, which is what they are called on the app up to 2 minutes. Then people can respond to your wave and you can respond back. What a great way to stimulate conversations. Listen in and learn more and sign up for ANCHOR on iTunes.

The super Bowl. Or as I called it, let down again. I was rooting for the Panthers, sorry gang but the Bronco's beat my Patriots. Although I will admit I was glad for Manning to win another ring. Congrats Broncos and fans.

Things to know for today. I covered a range of topics today for you. I didn't have any set design for this. I haven't o be honest I rambled through the news and picked stories I thought would be of interests. Ther were some that were really more important than others as always. Especially the one about New York Nuclear plant which had to do with health but was under business. Wonder what that's about.
