This breaks my heart.  Congressman Henry Hyde was an eloquent and passionate advocate for America’s unborn babies.  The Hyde Amendment prevented your tax dollars from funding Medicaid abortions, saving two-and-a-half million lives so far.  I knew the Congressman and looked up to him.  Eventually he retired from congress and passed away.  A few years after his death the DuPage County Board renamed its courthouse calling it the Henry J. Hyde Judicial Office Facility.  That is until pro-abortion Deb Conroy, chair of the County Board, with the help of her Democrat colleagues, stripped Henry’s name from the building.  She said it was because of his pro-life efforts in Congress.  Some have called it a petty and vindictive move.  Politics can be vicious.

Barnard College set up a display of dried and live herbs that over the years have been used for back-alley abortions.  The project includes directions on how they’re used.  It appears the displays will be permanent, designed to push back against states that protect their unborn babies.  It even incorporates a map of the United States to show where abortion is legal, partly legal or protections are in place to protect both mothers and their babies.  For decades pro-abortion activists railed against back alley abortions and here on a college campus they’re promoting them.  There are no herbal plants that’ve been approved by the FDA for abortion use.  They’re spreading dangerous and misleading information because many are toxic and risk potential serious health problems.

Patty was a mother of four, living in Mississippi with her mother and pregnant.  Since abortion isn’t legal in her state she traveled to North Carolina for one.  But instead of getting to the abortion center, she accidentally ran into someone who is part of Love Life, a pro-life ministry.  Not only did they show Patty she deserved better than abortion, they also shared the gospel of Jesus.  Patty’s soul and baby were saved that day.  Pro-lifers in her home state provided the gas she needed to get home.  They also helped Patty get into her own apartment.  The local pregnancy center provided for her needs and will be there for this struggling mom if need be.  This isn’t an exception but a regular way centers help both mother and child.  They love them both.

Catholic Relief Services is a top recipient of US Agency for International Development.  They received four point six billion dollars from twenty thirteen to twenty twenty-two.  The Catholic organization has come under fire for supporting pro-abortion aid programs.  Critics also charged the organization with misleading US Senators regarding an African AIDS program that included the promotion of abortion.  Catholic Relief Services said as a result of the defunding they were laying off nearly half of their workforce.  Since a judge has intervened as they so often do, we don’t know how this will affect the organization’s plans for a monumental layoff.  It’s my prayer President Trump’s action will carry the day because USAID is rife with corruption and wild spending.

Today I have a praise report for you.  A vile abortion mill in new Mexico aborts babies up to birth.  For years the pro-life group, Abortion Free New Mexico have dialogued with its security guard.  The guard seemed to vacillate between hostile aggression and appearing to be supportive of the pro-lifers.  Over time the volunteers educated the guard on the dangers of late-term abortion to the women, and of course the babies.  Then at times he would encourage women to seek help from those offering alternatives to abortion.  Finally, the abortion mill security guard quit his job.  He said, “I just couldn’t do it anymore.”  I believe it’s impossible to shake the stigma of abortion.  Please pray with me for workers in the abortion industry to leave their jobs also.  Jesus loves them too.

Recently I joined with dozens of fellow pro-life leaders in a memo to Congress.  As you know, Elon Musk and President Trump are determined to root out wasteful government spending.  And Musk has stated Planned Parenthood’s federal funding should be cut.  Together, we pro-life leaders represent millions of Americans.  So, we are collectively asking Congress to ax the abortion giant’s funding that equals nearly two million dollars a day while they kill more than one thousand babies a day by abortion.  Polling consistently shows Americans want their tax dollars protected from funding abortion.  Our memo also points out the Executive Actions by the President that protect our tax dollars from abortion and the abortion industry.  And the numerous bills introduced to protect life.

An explosive article exposing the dirty secrets of Planned Parenthood was published in the New York Times.  It’s a loyal supporter of abortion until birth and the abortion kingpin that brings in nearly two-million tax dollars and killing over a thousand babies every day.  It was titled Botched Care and Tired Staff: Planned Parenthood in Crisis.  The author’s exhaustive investigation uncovered botched abortions and more.  Fasten your seatbelt.  An abortion center had backed up sewage seeping into the abortion recovery area with clients’ stomachs reacting to the stench.  Clients getting the wrong meds with others receiving expired pain meds.  Those who couldn’t afford care were turned away.  Their motto is “Care. In the coming weeks and months you’ll hear more about two pro-life priorities we’re working on in Congress.  One is ending tax funding of Planned Parenthood through a once-a-year budget reconciliation.  This requires only a majority vote instead of sixty votes to stop a Senate filibuster.  The other is Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services is willing to examine the dangerous impact of chemical abortion pills on women.  US Attorney General Pam Bondi said she’d “love to work with” Louisiana state officials to stop abortionists in blue states from mailing the dangerous drug to states that protect their unborn children.  This violates the Comstock Act.  I’ll keep you posted as work on these priorities advances.  Please keep them in your prayers.

For decades extreme pro-abortion activists have claimed pro-life laws kill women.  They must have abortion to survive.  Even though they keep saying it, it doesn’t make it true.  Here’s yet more evidence that laws protecting unborn babies and their mothers improves the health of women.  Twenty-twenty three was the first full year after the Dobbs decision overturning Roe.  During that time maternal mortality decreased according to the government Centers for Disease Control.  It dropped from twenty-two deaths per one-hundred thousand women to nineteen deaths.  A decline of seventeen percent in one year.  This shows women are healthier without abortion.  And they’re emotionally healthier too without the grief and shame abortion inflicts upon them.  Praise God for this good news!

Carly Wesson and her partner Carl Everson were expecting their first baby in the United Kingdom.  According to doctors at Nottingham University Hospital a genetic test revealed their unborn daughter whom they nicknamed Ladybird would require significant care and might not even survive the pregnancy.  Believing their child was suffering, they aborted her at fourteen weeks – only to be told later the tests were wrong.  It’s a tragedy to kill your child because he or she might be disabled.  Even so, it’s hard to imagine the devastation this couple felt.  In America parents often report they’re hounded by medical professionals to abort a baby considered less than perfect.  In both the UK and at home those tests are often wrong.  Either way, choose life for your baby and be blessed.
