After a hiatus (Juhi's fault, sorry friends), we're back with another episode! This one is near and dear to my heart because we're featuring a special guest - my younger sister, Krisha. We're 8 years apart and our relationship has changed in many ways over the years. We thought it would be fun to unpack memories from the beginning of our relationship to what our relationship is now, and the factors/environment that allowed for certain changes to happen. Having a sibling who can be your best friend, confidant, roaster, and support system all in one has been a blessing and I'm so grateful. We hope you guys enjoy listening to this episode.
Welcome to our first series, therapy thoughts! In this series, we talk about mental health - our own struggles, how we've learned to cope, reducing the stigma, focusing on our wellbeing and much more. To kickstart this series, we wanted to chat about how we have dealt with our "funks" in the past. From having a self-care day to talking to someone about how you're feeling to just letting all the emotions soak, there isn't ever one 'correct' way but rather multiple ways that are most correct for you. And today, we talk about some of the things that have helped us. Creating this series and speaking into a microphone is therapeutic in itself for Kavya and I, and we hope that it helps shed some light your way.
Goodbye 2022 and hello 2023! The end of one year and the start of another always brings about reflection, in the best way possible. It gives us a chance to think about the highs, lows, what worked and didn't work, what we'll keep and what we won't keep, and so much more. This episode highlights our "eras", parts of the year that were characterized by ideas, feelings, people, locations, ambitions - essentially anything you felt like you spent a majority of your time on. These eras bring about a sense of nostalgia but also a chance to choose what we would like to carry forwards with us in 2023. We hope you had a wonderful 2022 and that 2023 is brighter, happier, and full of everything YOU want to do.
Today we're joined by the lovely @lifewithimran (Imran Rai) who shares her journey on becoming an international south asian model, owning her work, dealing with ED/body and ditching the law school dream (for now) to be a model full time. She hopes to use modelling as a way to empower other women (and especially women of colour) - and we're SO thrilled to have the aesthetics queen on the show.
Ever wanted to get to know the other half with the *therapeutic* voice? In today's episode, we pretend we're relevant and do a 73 questions with Juju! Don't worry, this is just the start of getting to know this icon. (P.S. Kavya wrote this bio. If you listen to this episode, you'll know that Juju's too sweet and humble).
It's me, hey, i'm the problem it's me [kavya] - if you don't get this reference, we cannot be friends. In this week's episode, we go vogue style and Juhi asks me 73 random questions. How do I describe myself? What's my biggest fear? What are things I absolutely hate? Listen to this episode to find out!!
