Statistics show that more than 90% of youth in foster care with five or more moves will become involved in the juvenile justice system. By age  17, over half of youth in foster care experienced an arrest, conviction,  or overnight stay in a correctional facility.  

60% of human trafficking victims in the U.S. were involved in the foster care system at one time.

The faith community has been effectively disenfranchised from culture. Despite being the largest voting bloc, the Evangelical community has become the most disengaged in politics.

In this episode, we meet with Tanner Dibella and Julianne Benzel, President and Chief Historian of the American Council. It is the goal of the American Council to eradicate this issue and to promote Biblical values in legislation, the ballot box, and culture.

Through their work, they are raising up the next generation of righteous governmental leaders.

Much of the church has since forgotten and abdicated its role as an influential and valuable asset (as the Ekklesia) in culture and the political sphere. What kind of impact might we have on culture if religious organizations partnered with civic organizations?

In this episode, Jon Ashcraft meets with an old friend who shares his view on the Church vs the Ekklesia. Jeremy Celentano has served in a number of churches, functioning in different roles over the years. Today, he leads Activate Church in Huntington Beach, California–a church that looks significantly different than what most would consider a "typical" church today. Activate Church describes themselves as "a church of believers in Christ who intentionally reject religion and embrace faith because religion enslaves but Faith gives life." It is Celentano's vision and desire to see the church love and serve the community just as Jesus did.
