I'm sorry! Those two words can make or break even the most solid relationships. We've all done things that we are sorry for, but how we express our feelings about our own behavior says a lot. In this episode of Life, Lemons & LemonDrops, co-hosts Greer and Whitnie discuss recent media events involving the apologies, or rather non-apologies, of public figures. They explore what apologies are, why and when you should apologize, or the reasons not to apologize if you do not truly feel sorrowful.

As we approach Valentine's Day (or Galentine's or Palentine's) or if you prefer, simply the day to love yourself, it's important to remember that love is the answer to much of what ails us. But how do we ensure the love in our lives is good for us?
In this episode of Life, Lemons & LemonDrops, Greer and Whitnie discuss some of the challenges inherent in relationships, romantic and platonic, including letting go and moving on once relationships have run their course. But how do you do that, especially if ending the relationship wasn't your idea? And even if it was, where do your start and how do you begin to put the pieces back together?
Letting go and moving on is not about forgetting, but forgiving--yourself and whoever caused you pain. Holding on to anger, bitterness or other negative emotions is harmful to your mind, body, spirit and future relationships. So do yourself a favor, get clarity on what you want in your relationships, focus on that and let the past be the past. Just remember to always cherish the lessons you've learned.
In this second of two parts of Growing Pains: The Next Chapter, Greer and Whitnie discuss some of the options, opportunities and considerations for you as you make your transition to empty nester or other life milestones.
Do you want to travel? Take up a new hobby? Start a business? Or write the next great novel? Whatever you desire, the world is at your feet. Set aside the time to dream, set your new vision and then take action to make this chapter your best chapter yet.
While you don't want to paper over any feelings you may have with your children being out of the house, it's a time for reflection and the chance for you to explore all those things you've put on hold as you nurtured your family and prepared them for their next phase. Just because your nest is empty doesn't mean your future has to be empty too. Now's the time to fill it to the brim.
If you find yourself struggling with the transition, please don't hesitate to reach out to a mental health professional.
