🎤 “Live life like practice. I think that is very different from what you were told when growing up. Somehow we expect ourselves to be successful from the start for some reason”.
💪 In today’s episode, you will be meeting Koyo, a visual artist who wants to develop empathy and understanding between people through storytelling.
Koyo sees her life as a succession of experiments, where each experiment is a learning opportunity to improve the next one. Koyo has worked in a video game agency, designed a children’s book for the UN, trained herself to be a Montessori teacher, has been a freelance designer and is now working on her own projects. And that’s through this iteration process that Koyo came back to what made her happy as a kid: creating stories!
❤️ TIMELINE:
4' - Growing up surrounded by art & multimedia
10’ - Creating a safe space for people through art
18’ - Don’t aim for perfection, take action
30’ - The experience of becoming a Montessori teacher
39’ - 5 steps backwards, 20 steps forward: learning from the past to build your future
47’ - Understanding your core values to stay in the right track

🎤 “How do you reconnect anyone with his or her own power of action? For young people, it can be: okay, I actually have the power to decide of my own life. For citizens, it can be: okay, as a group, we have the power to make something change”.
💪 In this episode, you will be meeting Anne-Laure, who is, in my opinion, one of the best facilitators I know! Her mission is to help citizens connect with their own power of action. Anne-Laure shares with us how, early on, she took a path which was not for her and how she had to reinvent herself once she realised this. From that moment, she promised herself to support as many people as possible to take a path they build for themselves.
We speak about facilitation, participative leadership, purpose and the importance to create a safe space and encourage meaningful conversations in organisations. We of course speak about Knowmads Hanoi, Art of Hosting Vietnam and The Learning Hub, 3 key turning points in her personal reinvention in Vietnam! <3

Shomy - UNDP-Samsung Global Ambassador, Diana Legacy Award Recipient 2019, Co-Founder of Awareness 360.
🎤 “I felt like I really need to step up, take action, go out there and tell people that: look, I lost my mom four days ago because of this, so please take these things seriously so that you don't lose the people you love. We discuss how Awareness360 started in a burger joint and now has 1500 volunteers in 20+ countries. We discuss what are important milestones in her life that shaped who she is today and finally, she shares with us her love for Bangladesh and how she wants everyone to know about this amazing country!

💪 In today’s episode, you’ll be meeting Valentine, a young French social entrepreneur who created a unique kind of public speaking training to give a voice to the unheard. Valentine always wanted to make a difference but it took a succession of unexpected events for her to discover how.

We discussed the importance of public speaking and why it scares so many of us.
