We often think of the Advent season as a quiet, peaceful time. Yet, the busyness and hustle-and-bustle of the holiday season is already going, and it’s not even Thanksgiving yet! As we continue into Week 2 of our new Life of Christ series, we will be reminded that Jesus’ advent brought chaos before it brought peace, but the peace that it did bring was an everlasting peace. The announcement to Mary, and Mary’s response has lots to teach us about how we can have peace in the midst of chaos and will equip us with two particular tools that Mary used to go from “How can this be?” to “May it be so!”
