"At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness. So they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves. When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the Lord God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the Lord God among the trees."
Genesis 3:7-8 NLT
We see in Genesis that shame can cause us to hide from God.
Shame also causes us to cast blame to others, as we see Adam cast the blame to his wife, (Gen. 3:12) saying she caused him to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. In this episode, learn more about the impact of how shame is connected to condemnation and worldly sorrow vs. how godly sorrow is connected to conviction and true repentance, which leads to a changed life. If you are dealing with shame, God can heal you!
