There are also some incredible watches coming up like a Philippe Dufour Grande & Petite Sonnerie No. 1, George Daniels Anniversary “No. 00”, An 18k rose gold Rolex ‘Gordon Bethune’ Stelline Ref. 6062, and Marlon Brando’s iconic Rolex Ref. 1675 GMT from ‘Apocalypse Now’. Blancpain releases Fifty Fathoms 70th Anniversary and capitalize on the incredible attention they created with their collaboration with Swatch.

Phillips Hong Kong Watches Online Auction is in full swing with some cool lots.

Sotheby's Fine Watches 8 online auction is also live with some great lots from Rolex, Patek Philippe, and Vacheron Constantin.

Monaco Legend Group releases their catalogue for their October auction with some extremely impressive timepieces that are really some for the ages.

OnlyWatch 2023 is touring around the world to showcase the unique piece watches that will be sold at their auction in November to raise money for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. They were most recently in New York so we talk about some of the highlights. All the watches being sold this year at OnlyWatch can be found here.

Sotheby’s also hosted a series of auctions where over 1400 items belonging to Freddie Mercury were sold. Amongst them were a few watches, namely a Seiko and 4 Cartier clocks. You can see the watch and clocks here.

This past week there was some very excited news for both vintage and modern watch enthusiasts. John Lennon’s Patek Philippe reference 2499 that was believed to be lost, or more accurately stolen, has been found. Also, Swatch announces and launches their collaboration with Blancpain, the Scuba Fifty Fathoms.

In one of the biggest pieces of news to come out this summer, Rolex announced they will be buying their long-time retail partner, Bucherer. Many are speculating on how this will change the retail landscape for other companies. Does this mean the end for other authorized dealers? The markets may think so as Watches of Switzerland’s share price plummeted over 30%. Also, MB&F released two new Horological Machine 9 Sapphire Visions (HM9-SV), each limited to 5 pieces.
