This week, we'd leave California's northern coast and head into those beautiful northern Californian Mountains. Trinity County, Six Rivers, and Lassen, before hitting Whiskeytown National Recreation Area....and the painful reminders of last year's devastating Carr Fire. On into Nevada...and a quick trip around the Lake Tahoe Scenic drive before heading south...and spending a night in Schurz Nevada...on the parking lot a brand new...but very closed up and disregarded truck stop.

This week we look back at our time spent in Port Orchard Washington, learning a ton about history in the area. Learning for the first time of conflict with Native Americans in the area was enlightening. Leaving Western Washington we headed south for a few days of enjoying Oregon in the Fall.

We covered nearly 900 miles in 3 days. Along the way...awesome camping in Dillon and Copper Creek Montana! In addition, camped for a night in the hayfields around Quincy Washington. Leaned a ton about this stretch of the country!
