Sometimes the reason we give isn’t actually the reason we’re stuck.
In this episode of Life, Rebuilt, we’re talking about excuses—not from a place of shame, but from a place of honesty.
Sometimes “I don’t have time,” “I don’t know how,” or “I’m not ready” is completely true. But sometimes the excuse is protecting us from something underneath it: fear, discomfort, overwhelm, rejection, or the possibility that we may actually have to change something.
In this episode, we’ll talk about how to recognize the difference between a real barrier and an excuse, why defensiveness can sometimes give us useful information, and how to turn awareness into one small, realistic action.
Your rebuild for this week:
Pick one thing you keep saying you want. Identify the reason you keep giving for why you haven’t done it, then get honest about what the real obstacle might be.
Before tomorrow ends, take one action that addresses the real problem.
A reason can explain where you are. It doesn’t have to decide where you go next.
