Yahoo boys are Nigerian online scammers.
They are the spawn of the legendary 419 scammers, who promoted their services through letters and subsequently emails, promising to make strangers wealthy in exchange for a little upfront fee.
Their name is derived from the email service provider Yahoo, which became famous in Nigeria in the 2000s. (The term "419" relates to a section of Nigeria's criminal law dealing with fraud.)

❎ Many people are victims of online frauds for several reasons:
❌ Lack of Awareness: Lack of knowledge about internet scams is a major reason people fall for them. Phishing emails, bogus websites, and fake social media posts look real, making them hard to spot.
❌ Scam sophistication: Modern frauds use superior technology and psychological methods. Scammers utilise persuasion and urgency to get people to act without thinking. They may also exploit social media or other personal data to bolster their schemes.
❌ Online Security Overconfidence: Some people overestimate their online security. They may feel their email provider or social media platforms are secure, allowing them to ignore online communications and offers.
❌ Scammers exploit fear, greed, and sympathy. They may scare you by alleging a bank account issue or tempt you with promises of windfalls or lucrative investments. Emotions can obscure judgement, causing rash decisions.
❌ Social Engineering: Scammers employ social engineering to get people to provide personal information or take specified activities. They may impersonate bank executives or government officers to gain trust.

Zersetzung, which translates to "decomposition" or "disintegration," is a covert and methodical form of psychological warfare used by the East German Ministry for State Security, also known as the Stasi, during the Cold War.
This nefarious practise included a variety of measures aimed at
destroying the lives, reputations, and mental well-being of individuals perceived to be enemies of the state or prospective dangers to East Germany's socialist rule.
Surveillance, harassing, gaslighting, propagating false rumours, and different sorts of psychological manipulation were all used in
Zersetzung.
This dark period in history serves as a vivid reminder of the
effectiveness of psychological methods in suppressing opposition and keeping control inside authoritarian governments.
Following World War II, the Ministerium für Staatssicherheit,
MfS—commonly known as the Stasi—was the internal security agency for the German Democratic Republic, often known as East Germany. The Stasi surveillance system was the most restrictive and repressive apparatus ever used.
Germany was divided into two halves between 1945 and 1990: West Germany,
which was integrated into NATO and Western markets, and East Germany
(German Democratic Republic: GDR), which was administered by the Soviet
