We are still studying the notions of intention and sincerity in Islam in this lecture. The narrations we look at show us that through our intentions, we participate in the actions of others, even if we are far away from them in space and time - thus leading to the deeper notion of community (Ummah) across geographies and centuries. In practice, sincerity means the strength to overcome personal ego and desire, and to stay away from evil deeds, sins and disobedience.
