This week in our Christmas series, No Longer Silent, we talked about the darkness in our lives. During After the Amen this week, Pastor Paul Hunter gives many practical steps following his message last weekend. Pastor Paul and Pastor Brandon Vieth discuss these steps.

KEY MOMENTS

At 8:01, Pastor Brandon asks if we have a presence or perception problem of Jesus “around” us. This leads to a discussion of God’s presence.

At 17:30, as they dive into Pastor Paul’s second point about darkness “within” us. They discuss shame versus guilt, and its connection to finding freedom in Christ.

At 25:57, Pastor Brandon brings up last weekend’s quote, “if you are dealing with pain, hurt, or burnout, you don’t have to pretend its ok.” Pastor Paul explains why we sometimes hide our pain in the church.

At 33:49, they quickly lean into the sermon’s point about the darkness “between” us. They express that this point will be expanded on more in next week’s episode!

At 34:45, the two discuss Pastor Paul’s prayer at the end of service and the role prayer should play in our lives going into holidays.

At 21:31, Pastor Paul gives the listeners some practical steps on living out your purpose, as well as some of the common mistakes that are made as well.

At 33:16, Pastor Brandon lightens the conversation by bringing up Pastor Paul’s 1970 Chevelle and how it currently has half its parts here and the other half is 677 miles away.
