Sometimes it's difficult to acknowledge our failures and setbacks. I think the reason is because in the beginning all we hope for is the sweet taste of victory. But victory is an acquired taste like bitter-leaf. You see bitter leaf is bitter on first encounter (obviously) but after you swallow it, there's an after taste that's sweet. In the movie "Collateral Damage", Will Smith's character suffers a loss that cost his marriage. To be reunited, they both had to become different people so they can meet again. Similarly but under different circumstances I found myself in a situation close to that; in principle at least.

As overwhelming as life may become, it goes without saying that we have to be on our game regardless. Sometimes it's almost impossible to see what's ahead because of what's in the present. However the case may be, the most important thing is happening in the present. The future is yet to come and the past will never come back. But the present can change the story.

Dating today has become a problem between Men & Women despite the gap that the internet and social media have covered. We have to find our way around this problem; not because we need it but because we owe it to humanity to preserve that which brought us here so it may bring others.

Sometimes in life I think we come to a point where we're confronted with the choice of doing what we've always done or do something else. The people around us are not always the best people we need but sometimes they are and sometimes it's worth all the stress.

This is to the friends we've lost and the ones we will lose and to new ones we'd make and the old ones we would meet again. ✌🏿

Many times over, we find ourselves carrying in our hearts negative emotions that we may find difficult to make connections to their sources. It has been proven to be helpful if one can take a moment to reflect over the reasons for the existence of such emotions and we can often find answers in the most unlikely places. A rule of thumb is to be ready for the answers you may get from the questions you may ask.

In a time where believing and talking about God can make you seem uncool, building a relationship with God has been a rewarding experience for me. I'm very far from perfect but God continues to stand by me. For me, God is that which is greater than all that we know.

We have at a point in our lives had to let go of a person or be cut off from someone's life. Those moments as painful as they may be are moments of learning if we can bring ourselves to the point of contemplation.

I hope we do not lose our good friends. If we do, I hope we learn from it.
