Hey there! It's great to share this journey with you. My name is Mekelleπ€
It all started with a desire to live by Christ's example. Along the way, I encountered some obstacles that truly tested my commitment and this month I am sharing the biggest hurdle I have faced that straight had me shook!
One of the biggest challenges was learning to let go of my own judgments and biases. It's not always easy to understand where people are coming from, but I realized that empathy is key. Another obstacle was facing rejection and sometimes even hostility from those I was trying to love. It was tough, but I kept reminding myself of the bigger picture.
Now, let's talk about the three things that were my saving grace during those difficult times:
Community: Having a supportive community around me was a game-changer. They provided a safe space to share my struggles and doubts, and their encouragement kept me going.
Spiritual Strength: My faith in Christ gave me the spiritual strength I needed. Through prayer, meditation, and seeking guidance in the Word, I found the inner fortitude to keep loving even when it was challenging.
Accountability: Having someone to hold me accountable was crucial. This could be a close friend, mentor, or even a fellow believer. They reminded me of my commitment and gently guided me when I faltered.
In the end, the journey to love hard-to-love people was not just about transforming others but transforming myself. It's a process, and I'm still learning every day. Thanks for joining me on this path of love and grace! π
