For this episode of Life with Room I’ll be talking about friendship with my dear friend Jen! I met her about a year and a half ago in an online class for podcasting and speaking. We talk every week and it’s just a breath of fresh air for me. Since meeting Jen, I’ve often wondered what makes a friendship. I hope you enjoy our conversation!

It’s episode 14 of Life with Room! For this interview we’re hearing from Jess Ledwell: poet, writer and speaker. Jess shares some wisdom that she’s picked up along her journey as well as some laughs. She started #findingmorningglory on Instagram a while back and it’s a beautiful look into her idea on helping others wake up from a life un-lived. Jess is a breath of fresh air and I hope you enjoy her stories!

For episode 13 of Life with Room I got to speak with Sarah Schmidt. Sarah lives in Colorado with her husband and baby boy and will soon add another little babe to the family. She is a co-founder of Smart Bellies, a non-profit backpack food program. I loved hearing her heart for the work that she does as well as her encouraging words for her younger self. Enjoy!

We will get to hear a bit about her journey of how she came to be someone who is so in love with her life. It was so fun meeting Jessica and listening to her stories, I hope you’ll enjoy too!

Welcome to season two! In our first interview episode we will be hearing from Dr. Tatjana Farley. She will share with us about where she is right now, a bit about how she got here, and where she think she may be heading. Tatjana's path is wildly different than mine in many ways, but I'm learning to notice the similarities in our stories. I hope you'll pick up on it too.

In our final interview episode of the season we’re hearing from Amanda Phillips. She’s currently in New York leaning into a dream that she’s had for quite a while. Amanda is a speaker, writer, and mental health advocate. She’s been through it and is using her voice to let other people know they’re not alone, that there is good stuff ahead, and that they’ve got to keep going. Isn’t it interesting that much of the time the messages we want to tell others are often the messages we so badly wish to share with our younger selves?

It's episode 8 and we’re going to be hearing from Keisha Graham. Keisha is a birth worker here in Richmond, VA and this episode was super fun for me because she was my doula during pregnancy and labor! She is kind, she is passionate, she has a vision for what pregnancy and birth can look like specifically for black women and families, and she so clearly is doing the work that she feels called to do. Make sure to follow, rate, and review after listening!
