Day 14,054 - Free Speech
When Kevin was a younger man, life seemed so easy: America was free, and you could say what you wanted. Today he makes the case that speech is a protected thing, especially when it offends somebody, and that the fabric of this country is sewn together from the idea of not censoring speech.
His bottom line: we have a duty to defend those rights, because those rights are nothing without duty. Welcome to America.
Can we still say it? Let us know in the comments.
Day 14,053 - In Defense of the Survivor
Today's episode goes out to the survivors: the people Kevin says have survived unaccredited, unwarranted, unsubstantiated accusations of rape. He starts with Matt Araiza, "the punt god" the Buffalo Bills drafted and then dropped over an allegation Kevin says was thrown out of court, and asks Buffalo what they were thinking letting him go.
Kevin is clear he isn't standing up for frat hazing or the way some college guys treat women. But he says a Cornell University student who joined a frat, made poor decisions, and is now getting dragged through the mud over an accusation Kevin calls unsubstantiated is a survivor in the making, and this episode is for them too.
Day 14,052 - Sober October
It's Sober October again, and this one's special. Kevin went into his eighth Sober October a year ago and never came out of it: 12 months sober today, making this officially his ninth time around. He talks about the cigar he didn't get to smoke, what's fair game the rest of the year, and why this month is about hanging in there, seeing if you can do it, and staying the course together.
Plus a challenge for his buddy in Buffalo who bails every year because the Bills are playing: the games are just as fun sober, and watching them lose hurts more. What are you giving up this month? Let us know in the comments.
Day 14,049 - School Drop-Off
Some things never change. Kevin's back in the middle-school drop-off line and breaks down how it's supposed to work: pull into the curb lane so kids step straight onto the sidewalk, then use the outer lane to get out of the way. So why do so many parents let their kids out into traffic on the driver's side? The district sends diagrams, video tutorials, and QR codes every year, and parents still ignore them.
Day 14,039 - Clancy's Fancies
Kevin puts Clancy's Fancies in front of the camera as a production gauge: Cora, Dawson, and Callan — dark-humor remembrance pieces that work like a cross, forcing you to say their names and remember beautiful little blessed children who were murdered. Shock humor with a point. Collect all three?
Day 14,038 - Shock Jock
Kevin on why people take shock-jock approaches and extreme positions — and how symbols like the crucifix drive a point home by embracing the most extreme image of a cause.
Explicit: crucifix / graphic religious imagery discussion.
Day 14,037 - Goalpost
Kevin talks pro-life conviction, civility across disagreement, and how the Lindsey Clancy case feels like yet another move of the goalpost — from conception debates to born children.

Episode: Day 14,034 - BJs
Kevin on one of the best parts of being an HVAC guy this time of year: landing BJs. Boiler jobs roll in end of summer into early fall — service, fresh installs, a little P&M — until even home starts offering another one. Spring hits, AC work returns.

Day 14,032 - Corner Deli
Kevin stops at the Corner Deli in Salamanca for the first time in 8–10 years — same owners, no more hot pastrami on rye, but a hell of a Reuben with pickle and chips. A Salamanca staple.
