Imagine God as an endless ocean. When you scoop some of that ocean water into a bottle, the water appears separate from the ocean. It takes the shape of the bottle, but its essence has not changed. It is still ocean water.

Now imagine that the bottle represents your body, and the water represents your soul. You may appear to be an individual, separate from everything else, with your own name, identity, memories, and experiences. But what if your soul has always been part of the Source?

We are souls that have always existed. We are directly connected to God because we come from the same Source. We are not disconnected from the ocean simply because we are in a bottle. We are still part of it. We are all connected. We are everything experiencing everything, through every form it has taken: plants, animals, fish, birds, insects, stars, the moon, the ocean, the mountains, the ground, and everything that exists as part of the Source, God. Everything in this world that was not created by human hands is part of this Source. And the greatest form of worship is taking care of one another and everything that shares this world with us.

Our spirituality extends beyond the people living today. It connects us to those who came before us, those who will come after us, and perhaps even terrestrial beings we have yet to discover. We are all part of a greater existence, here to experience life in whatever form it takes.

You are here to experience life as you, just as I am here to experience life as Waeni. Remember who you are, so you can experience the beauty of being who you are without wanting to be another person.
