  • Your Daily Bible Verse - How to Stay Close to God Through the Highs and Lows of Life (James 5:13)

    Today’s Bible Verse:
“Is anyone among you in trouble? Let him pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing praise.” — James 5:13

James 5:13 invites us to bring every emotional moment—heavy or joyful—into the presence of God. When pain presses in, prayer steadies our hearts. When joy rises up, praise becomes our natural response. This simple rhythm shapes a life that stays rooted in God no matter the season. It reminds us that we’re never meant to navigate sorrow alone and never meant to enjoy blessings without gratitude. In every circumstance, God welcomes us to turn toward Him.

  • Everyday Prayers with Million Praying Moms - A Prayer to Break Up With Mom Worry

A Prayer to Break Up with Mom Worry by Julie Gillies

Let's talk about a struggle moms know all too well: worry. In today’s episode by Julie Gillies, we look to Matthew 6:34 as our anchor and explore the truth that we don’t have to carry the weight of tomorrow—or the burdens surrounding our children—alone.

This episode will guide you toward breaking the toxic cycle of “mom worry” by learning two essential practices: prayer and trust. By bringing every fear, scenario, and burden to the Lord, and choosing to trust His faithfulness, we discover the peace that worry has robbed. Together, we’re invited to place our confidence in a God who hears, who helps, and who holds our children in His hands.

    Reference: Matthew 6:34

Prayer: Lord, I confess all the times I have worried about my children instead of praying and trusting You, and oh Lord, it has cost me peace. When worries over my children bombard my mind and heart, please give me the grace to turn every concern, every worst-case scenario, and every dread into a prayer of trust and relinquishment. Help me to give every single apprehension fully to You.

And Lord, help me to trust You completely with my children’s very lives. As I care for them, may faith arise in my heart as I read Your Word. May I choose not to worry but instead trust You fully. God, You are faithful. You are utterly trustworthy. I choose to believe that You are with me and You are with my children. Thank you Lord for guarding them and guiding them. Thank you Lord that I don’t have to entertain worry because You are always with my children. In Jesus’s name, Amen.

    Interview Quotes:

“The great equalizer of life is pain, and we all end up in that place one way or another—where it’s just us and it’s God and that’s it.” - Cristina Baker

“What happens when God leads you into what you think is a disaster, but actually that disaster is the very thing that He’s going to use to bless you?” - Cristina Baker

“There’s no better place to be than when your back is up against the wall and you have no other option but God. He will take that night season that was meant to destroy you and turn it into something that you could have never thought or imagined.” - Cristina Baker

“God hasn’t changed the subject because humanity will always need hope. And hope is not a concept, He’s a person. Hope is found in Him.” - Cristina Baker

“I am a spirit that lives in a body, and sometimes my body doesn’t line up with what my spirit knows is true.” - Becky Thompson

“Just because the healing hasn’t come instantly, and just because it hasn’t happened as quickly as you wanted it to, does not mean that the Lord is not a part of the process.” - Becky Thompson

“I think it’s so important that we remember that mental health situations don’t disqualify us from being women full of faith, they actually often cause us to be women of greater faith that lean more heavily on God’s sufficiency.” - Becky Thompson

“No one says you have to wake up the next day and do the hardest thing. You just have to wake up the next day and do the next thing that makes the most sense for you, which is whatever the Holy Spirit is putting on your heart.” - Becky Thompson

  • The Crosswalk Devotional: A Daily Devotional Chris... - What the Bible Teaches about True Gratitude

True gratitude is more than a warm feeling—it’s a God-designed response that reshapes how we see Him, ourselves, and the people around us. Scripture shows that real thankfulness flows from the heart, is rooted in God’s Word, and grows stronger in every circumstance. When we recognize gratitude as a divine gift rather than a human habit, we begin to see how it transforms our faith, our relationships, and our daily mindset.

    Highlights

    • Gratitude begins in the heart and naturally overflows into worship (Psalm 9:1).

    • Scripture calls us to give thanks in all circumstances—not just the pleasant ones (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

    • True gratitude doesn’t pick favorites; it thanks God for everything, trusting His goodness (Ephesians 5:20).

    • We thank Jesus for His strength, His calling, and His constant work in our lives (1 Timothy 1:12).

    • Genuine gratitude includes thanking God for fellow believers who walk beside us (Colossians 1:3).

    • Remembering God’s past deeds fuels present praise and future confidence (Psalm 9:1).

    • Gratitude celebrates the grace God pours out on others (1 Corinthians 1:4).

    • We give thanks for the faith growing in believers around the world (Romans 1:8).

    • Gratitude honors the love God cultivates in His people (Ephesians 1:15–16).

    • Remembering others in prayer is itself an act of gratitude (Philippians 1:3).

What the Bible Teaches about True Gratitude

    By Lynette Kittle

    Bible Reading:

“And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.” - 1 Thessalonians 2:13

In looking to learn about gratitude, the Bible is our teacher, with God being the author and creator of gratitude.

It isn’t a human invention but a God-given response that rises up within us because He created us to express gratitude to Him. In learning to thank Him, it’s where thankfulness spills over to expressing gratitude to those we love and even strangers we interact with on a daily basis.

Gratitude isn’t by any means a product of human nature or
