  • The Sean McDowell Show - Iranian Muslims are Turning to Jesus–What's Happening?

What would it look like for revival to break out in the most restrictive places in the world? In this episode, I talk with Dr. Hormoz Shariat, a PhD in computer engineering, author of Iran’s Great Awakening, and the “Billy Graham of Iran.” Dr. Hormoz shares how he was born into Islam, lived through the Iranian Revolution, and still wrestled with questions of truth, injustice, and spiritual hunger until Christ radically changed his life. He talks about the incredible outreach to Muslims in Iran (and beyond) and why he believes Iran will someday become a "Christian nation." • Your Daily Bible Verse - Feeling Overpowered and Afraid? Reflect on This (Psalm 44:3)

    Today’s Bible Verse:
"It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory; it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, for you loved them." — Psalm 44:3

Psalm 44:3 reminds us that true victory doesn’t come from human strength, strategy, or skill—it comes from God’s power and favor. Israel’s story is a testimony that God’s love and presence, not their weapons, brought deliverance and blessing.

  • Everyday Prayers with Million Praying Moms - A Prayer for When Your Strength Runs Out

A Prayer for When Your Strength Runs Out

Through exhaustion and feelings of failure, we can learn that peace doesn’t come from personal control or independence, but from resting in the power and grace of God.

Today's episode by Brooke McGlothlin shares a powerful reflection on God’s strength and peace—illustrated by the vast, mighty ocean.

    Reference: Psalm 29:11

Prayer: Father, if I rely on my own strength, it will eventually fail. If I try to find my peace outside of you, I will eventually run out. Today and every day help me remember that my strength is in my relationship with you. You are my true source. In Jesus' name, amen.

The God Who Remains with Those Who Feel Exiled

    By Jennifer Slattery

    Bible Reading:

Among those who were chosen were some from Judah: Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. The chief official gave them new names: to Daniel, the name Belteshazzar; to Hananiah, Shadrach; to Mishael, Meshach; and to Azariah, Abednego.

But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way. Now God had caused the official to show favor and compassion to Daniel. - Daniel 1:6-9

Political change, company takeovers and buyouts, national or global unrest often leave us feeling unsettled and anxious, and understandably so. Those who lead our state and country wield significant power—but not even the most powerful earthly institutions and officials can thwart God’s plans for us or His kingdom. He remains on His heavenly throne, regardless of who sits in the Oval Office—or holds the position of CEO in the company for whom we work. He is our Father and King who loves to lavish His children with favor and grace, as He did with Daniel, the exiled Hebrew teenager selected to receive special training to enter the royal service.

The chief of staff also gave him a Babylonian name, as the IVP Bible Background Commentary states, to “exercise authority over them and their destiny,” adding that “since names often made statements about deity, Babylonian names would impose at least a subtle level of acknowledgement of the Babylonian gods on the young men.

  • Your Daily Prayer - A Prayer to Remember Life Is but a Breath

Life is fragile and fleeting—Scripture reminds us time and again that our days on earth are short, like a breath or a passing shadow. Yet, as our daily prayer and devotional remind us, in a world that measures meaning by years and accomplishments, we often forget just how temporary life really is. Lynette Kittle reflects on the sobering reality that every breath is a gift, urging us to live intentionally for eternity rather than the moment.

When tragedy strikes or we’re reminded of death’s suddenness, it can shake our sense of security. But God never meant for these reminders to fill us with fear; instead, they call us back to perspective. James 4:14 tells us that our lives are “a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes,” not to diminish our worth but to reorient our focus toward what truly matters—living each day to glorify Him.

Because of Christ, we do not have to fear death. Jesus tasted death for us (Hebrews 2:9) so that we can move from life to eternal life in His presence. Earth is not our permanent home. We are citizens of Heaven, created for something far greater than the temporary world we see.

As believers, we can live with both urgency and peace—urgency to love, serve, and live for God today, and peace knowing our forever home is secure with Him. Let every breath be a reminder of His grace and an opportunity to glorify His name.

    Today's Bible Reading:

"They are like a breath; their days are like a fleeting shadow." – Psalm 144:4

    Key Takeaways

    • Life is fleeting, but its brevity invites us to live with eternal purpose.

    • God doesn’t want us to fear death—Christ has already conquered it.

    • Our true home is in Heaven, where we will dwell with God forever.

    • Each day is a sacred gift to glorify God and point others to His hope.

    Let’s Pray Together

Dear Father, thank You for the sacred gift of life. Help me to remember how short and precious it is—not to fear its brevity but to live each day with eternity in mind. Thank You for the promise of eternal life through Jesus and for preparing a place for me in Your presence. May my life bring glory to You in every breath I take. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
