  • Your Daily Prayer - 5 Prayers to Remember 9-11

This year marks twenty-four years since the events of September 11, 2001. In today's prayer and devotional, we remember that though decades have passed, the grief, memory, and impact of that day remain deeply etched in our hearts. Nearly everyone remembers where they were when tragedy struck, and as a nation — and as people created in God’s image — we carry both the sorrow and the call to remembrance.

In today's devotional, Cally Logan leads us in five heartfelt prayers: for the families who lost loved ones, for the survivors, for the memory of the fallen, for our nation, and for peace in our world. These prayers not only honor those directly impacted but also point us to the God who keeps record of every tear and whose compassion is unending.

As we pause today, let’s choose to remember — not only the events of that day but also the way God’s presence sustains us through grief and how His love compels us to seek peace with one another.

    Today's Bible Reading

“Record my misery; list my tears on your scroll — are they not in your record?” – Psalm 56:8

    Key Takeaways

    • Families of the fallen still need our prayers for comfort and peace.

    • Survivors carry both visible and invisible scars; we can pray for healing and strength.

    • The memory of the lost — including first responders and ordinary citizens who acted heroically — deserves to be honored.

    • Our nation needs God’s wisdom, unity, and revival to remain a “city on a hill.”

    • Lasting peace in the world can only be found through Christ, who transforms hearts.

    Let’s Pray Together

Heavenly Father, on this day of remembrance, we lift up families who lost loved ones, survivors who carry wounds, and our nation as it seeks unity. Comfort those who grieve, strengthen those who struggle, and help us honor the memory of the fallen. Lord, bring peace to our hearts and to our world. Let us never forget, and let us always turn to You as our hope and refuge. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  • Your Nightly Prayer: Evening Prayers for Christian... - When You're Overthinking Every Decision

Do you ever feel paralyzed by decision-making, afraid of choosing the wrong path? Sometimes, in our desire to please God, we wait for unmistakable signs before moving forward. But God’s guidance isn’t always loud or obvious. Often, He leads us quietly, step by step, reminding us that His ability to lead is far greater than our ability to hear.

Scripture assures us God has already written every day of our lives (Psalm 139:16). He isn’t waiting for us to “mess up” so He can scold us. Instead, He is a patient Father who repeats His nudges as often as necessary. He is more concerned with our hearts than our flawless performance.

When we draw near to Him—through prayer, Scripture, and godly counsel—He sharpens our spiritual sensitivity and teaches us to hear His voice. Even if we stumble, He promises to weave our steps into His good and sovereign purposes (Proverbs 19:21). You don’t need to fear missing His will—He delights in leading you.

    Tonight’s Scripture: Proverbs 3:5

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding."

    Your Nightly Prayer

    Father,
Thank You for faithfully caring for me. You see every decision I face and know the weight each one carries. Thank You for promising to never leave me in confusion or abandon me to faulty thinking. Bring clarity to my doubts, peace to my inner questions, and truth to my heart. Close my ears to the enemy’s lies and help me trust Your steady hand, even when You seem silent. Teach me to rely not on my limited understanding, but on Your eternal wisdom.
    In Jesus’ name, amen.

    Three Things to Meditate Upon

    1. God has good plans for you—plans rooted in His love, not in your performance.

    2. He shows no favorites; the same God who guided biblical heroes will guide you too.

    3. His grace is abundant, equipping you to live freely and confidently in Him.

  • Confessions of a Christian Alcoholic with Jon Seid... - What Actually Is 'Abiding with Christ'? Kyle Worley on the True Goal of Salvation and Coming Home to God (Episode 18)

“Forgiveness is not the goal of salvation. Fellowship with God is the goal of salvation.”

Think about that for a second. I had to. That’s how Kyle Worley reframes the Gospel in his new book, Home with God. And at first glance, it may seem...odd. Because so many of us think salvation is mainly about getting our sins forgiven so we can go to heaven. But Kyle rightly blows that up. Instead, he explains that forgiveness is just the doorway. The real point of salvation is life with God, not just in the future but here and now.

In other words, life is about abiding with Christ. And as I've come to find out, that is crucial to recovering from any addiction.

In this conversation, Kyle—pastor, theologian, and author—helps us rethink salvation, grace, and identity. We talk about why forgiveness isn’t the finish line, why grace feels so disruptive, and how union with Christ resets the “broken compass” of our desires. If you’ve ever wondered what it really means to be saved, or felt like you were stuck chasing performance, this episode will reframe the story: salvation is about coming home.

    Again and again and again.

  • Your Daily Bible Verse - The Real Reason God Hates Idols (Exodus 20:3)

    Today’s Bible Verse:
"You shall have no other gods before me." — Exodus 20:3

Exodus 20:3 delivers the first commandment—a call to wholehearted devotion to God. In a culture filled with distractions and competing priorities, this verse challenges us to examine where our ultimate loyalty lies. God desires to be first in our hearts, not one option among many, but the center of our worship and trust.

  • Untangling Prayer with Rachel Wojo - Deep Waters Don't Last Forever

Have you ever felt like you're drowning in your circumstances, wondering if God's promises are just beautiful words that don't apply to your situation?

In this episode, Rachel shares how a recent memorial service reminded her of the profound truth found in Isaiah 43:2—that when we pass through deep waters, God promises we will pass through, not get swept away.

Drawing from both heartbreaking loss and incredible answered prayer, Rachel explores how writing out God's promises transforms our prayer life from wishful thinking to confident declaration.

    What You'll Learn:

    • How to hold onto God's promises when you feel like you're drowning emotionally
    • Why writing out Scripture in prayer slows you down to really hear God's heart
    • The difference between praying toward God's promises versus praying from them
    • How your testimony of passing through deep waters becomes hope for others still in the storm

Whether you're facing health challenges, financial struggles, relationship difficulties, or any season that feels overwhelming, this episode will anchor your soul in the truth that deep waters don't last forever—and you're not walking through them alone.

  • Everyday Prayers with Million Praying Moms - A Prayer for Comfort As I Anticipate the Next Season

A Prayer for Comfort As I Anticipate the Next Season

Have you ever sat in the bittersweet moments of parenting—when children begin to step into independence, and the reality of them slowly leaving home starts to set in?It’s in these tender seasons of grief and transition that God reminds us He is the God of all comfort, walking with us through each change.

    Reference: 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Prayer: Father, you are the Father of mercies and comfort. Thank you for allowing me the freedom to grieve and for promising that you are there to comfort and uphold me.  I need your strength and comfort as my children get older, more independent, and eventually leave home.  I want to glorify you in this transition, even though it is one of the hardest life changes.  Please use me in the lives of others who might be going through a similar season. Help me to comfort others in the same way you have comforted me. Amen.
