  • Your Daily Bible Verse - Faith Doesn't Mean Certainty (Hebrews 11:1)

    Today’s Bible Verse:
"Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." — Hebrews 11:1

Faith isn’t just believing in what’s visible—it’s trusting God when we can’t yet see the outcome. Hebrews 11:1 reminds us that faith anchors us in God’s promises, even when our circumstances seem uncertain. It calls us to walk forward with confidence and hope, knowing that His plans are greater than what we can comprehend.

  • Everyday Prayers with Million Praying Moms - How to Pray God's Word for Our Kids

    Follow Everyday Prayers @MillionPrayingMoms

How to Pray God's Word for Our Children

Often, our prayers as parents can feel reactive—born out of desperation in the middle of tantrums, challenges, or long days. But what if prayer became our proactive response instead of our last resort? That’s the invitation of today’s episode: to return to the heart of Million Praying Moms—praying God’s Word faithfully and intentionally over our children

    Reference: Psalm 139: 23-34

Prayer: Father, help us to not be afraid to pray bold prayers from our children. Help us to see the value of praying your word over our kids. Reveal to us the things in their hearts and our own that need to be brought out into the light and transformed into your likeness. Help us to carve out sacred time to make prayer our first response, not our last resort. Turn my reactive prayers into proactive prayers on behalf of my family. Help us to be mothers that know that our help and strength come from you alone.

  • Breathe: The Stress Less Podcast - Strong & Courageous: How to Embrace New Transitions with God #179

Fall is a season of change — kids head back to school, leaves begin to turn, and new routines take shape. But while transitions can be exciting, they can also stir up anxiety. What do I let go of? Where do I go next? Will God really be with me in this new land?

In this week’s episode, Bonnie shares a tender story from her own life — launching one son into college, preparing another for his final years at home, and sensing God’s invitation to step into a new season for herself. Through scripture, science, and soul care, she explores how to face transitions not with fear, but with courage and peace.

Friend, you don’t need the whole map. You just need one word, one small step, and the reminder that God goes ahead of you.

    Key Takeaways:

Why transitions trigger stress in the brain (even good ones)
How naming your season lowers stress and increases resilience
Why courage doesn’t mean no fear — it means walking hand in hand with God
A personal story of breaking generational patterns and stepping into a Jubilee season
A simple soul care practice to help you name and embrace your new season

    Breath Prayer:
Inhale: You go ahead of me, Lord…
    Exhale: I am never alone.

     Scripture:
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or in dread of them, for the Lord your God is the One going with you. He will not desert you or abandon you… The Lord is the one who is going ahead of you; He will be with you. Do not fear and do not be dismayed.” – Joshua 1:6, 8

  • So Much More: Scripture Meditation (Lectio Divina) - Help Me with My Unbelief | Mark 9:20–24, Step 2 Meditation

Have you ever believed and doubted at the same time? You’re not alone. This Christian meditation podcast offers space for Bible meditation, scripture reflection, and guided prayer shaped by the 12 steps.

Step Two says: “We came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.” If Step One was I can’t, Step Two is the hopeful turn toward God can.

In this imaginative prayer, you’ll enter the story of a desperate father who brings his son to Jesus for healing. He longs to believe God can help him, yet struggles with doubt. His words echo the tension so many of us feel: “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!”

This meditation invites you to step into the scene and experience Jesus’s compassion in the very places where faith and doubt live side by side.

Where do you need God’s help today? He knows exactly what you are facing — and He wants to help.

Take a deep breath and let this meditation remind you that while we can’t, God can.

    Today’s Scripture: Mark 9:20–24 (NLT)

So they brought the boy. But when the evil spirit saw Jesus, it threw the child into a violent convulsion, and he fell to the ground, writhing and foaming at the mouth.
“How long has this been happening?” Jesus asked the boy’s father.
He replied, “Since he was a little boy. The spirit often throws him into the fire or into water, trying to kill him. Have mercy on us and help us, if you can.”
“What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.”
The father instantly cried out, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!”

  • The Crosswalk Devotional: A Daily Devotional Chris... - As Close as Your Breath

In Psalm 34:18, we’re reminded that “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” But in seasons of heartbreak, unanswered prayers, or overwhelming busyness, God can sometimes feel distant. Cindi McMenamin shares how we can quiet the noise, draw near to God, and experience His presence as close and real as the air we breathe.

    ✨ Highlights

    • Why God sometimes feels distant and how to reconnect with Him

    • Four practical ways to experience God’s presence:

      1. Take a Divine Pause — slow down, breathe deeply, and be still (Psalm 46:10)

      2. Whisper His Name — use simple “breath prayers” like “Jesus, I need You” (Acts 4:12)

      3. Read His Word Aloud — Scripture is “living and active” and draws us closer (Hebrews 4:12)

      4. Start Praising Him — worship shifts our focus from ourselves to God’s goodness

    • The promise of Jeremiah 29:13: when we seek Him with all our heart, we will find Him

    As Close as Your Breath

By Cindi McMenamin, Crosswalk Contributing Writer

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted

And saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18 NASB)

Does it sometimes feel like God is far away?

Heartbreak, struggles, hurts from the past, unanswered prayer, or just filling your schedule with everything but Him can make you believe God is distant. But Scripture abounds with evidence that He is as close to you as the air you breathe.

Psalm 139 assures us that God knows every detail of our lives and in verses 7-12, we read there’s nowhere we can go outside of His presence and away from His watchful eye. Hebrews 13:5 also tells us He will never leave

  • Unhurried Living | Helping Christians Rest Deeper ... - Hearing the Psalms Like Never Before

What if you could hear the Psalms and Proverbs as if for the very first time? In this episode of the Unhurried Living Podcast, Alan Fadling talks with Terry Wildman, Ojibwe and Yaqui follower of Jesus, storyteller, musician, and lead translator of the First Nations Version (FNV).

Terry has spent decades sharing Creator’s story in ways that resonate with Indigenous hearts. After the widely embraced release of the FNV New Testament in 2021, he and a translation council of over 20 tribes have now brought the beauty, rhythm, and imagery of Native American storytelling to Psalms and Proverbs.

In this conversation, Alan and Terry explore:

    • How oral tradition opens fresh ways of hearing Scripture

    • The relational names for God, like Great Spirit and Grandfather

    • Why Psalms and Proverbs were chosen as the next FNV project

    • How this translation speaks to Indigenous and non-Indigenous readers alike

    • Practical ways to let Scripture slow you down and deepen your walk with God

If you long to encounter the Psalms and Proverbs in a way that stirs your soul and draws you into deeper communion with God, this episode will inspire you.
