  • Share The Good News // Masashi Shibuya

God has called us to "go and tell the good news," but what does that look like in our daily lives? In this message, you’ll learn practical ways to become a "shepherd" in your school, workplace, or neighborhood.

    ---------------------------------------

SHARE GOOD NEWS: KNOW GOD’S HEART TOWARD PEOPLE

    Mark 16:15 ERV

He said to them, “Go everywhere in the world. Tell the Good News to everyone.”

    Luke 15:3-7 ERV

Then Jesus told them this story: (4) “Suppose one of you has 100 sheep, but one of them gets lost. What will you do? You will leave the other 99 sheep there in the field and go out and look for the lost sheep. You will continue to search for it until you find it. (5) And when you find it, you will be very happy. You will carry it (6) home, go to your friends and neighbors and say to them, ‘Be happy with me because I found my lost sheep!’ (7) In the same way, I tell you, heaven is a happy place when one sinner decides to change. There is more joy for that one sinner than for 99 good people who don’t need to change.

    THE HEART OF A SHEPHERD

    SINNER = ALL PEOPLE

    THERE IS JOY

    1 Timothy 2:4 ERV

God wants everyone to be saved and to fully understand the truth.

“WHEN GOOD NEWS IS SHARED, SOME PEOPLE WON’T BELIEVE, BUT SOME WILL.”

    ~ PS DARRYN SCHESKE

    SHARING GOOD NEWS IS NOT A ONE-TIME EVENT — IT’S A LIFESTYLE.

YOU ARE CALLED TO BE A SHEPHERD WHERE YOU ARE

    John 15:16 NLT

You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit.

SERVING PEOPLE IS THE BEGINNING OF SHARING GOOD NEWS

PRAY FOR THE RIGHT TIME AND OPPORTUNITY

    Colossians 4:3a ERV

Also pray for us. Pray that God will give us an opportunity to tell people his message...

  • Equipped to Lead Courageously // Richard Welsh

Do you ever feel unqualified or unready to step into your calling? This week, Ps Richard reminds us that God's command is to be strong and courageous. He shares 3 practical keys to move past fear and step into the courageous leadership God is calling you to.

    -------------------------

    EQUIPPED TO LEAD COURAGEOUSLY

    Joshua 1:1-4 NLT

After the death of Moses the LORD's servant, the LORD spoke to Joshua son of Nun, Moses' assistant. He said, (2) "Moses my servant is dead. Therefore, the time has come for you to lead these people, the Israelites, across the Jordan River into the land I am giving them. (3) I promise you what I promised Moses: 'Wherever you set foot, you will be on land I have given you (4) from the Negev wilderness in the south to the Lebanon mountains in the north, from the Euphrates River in the east to the Mediterranean Sea in the west, including all the land of the Hittites.

    2 Timothy 1:7 NLT

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.

    Joshua 1:5-9 NLT

No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you. (6) "Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. (7) Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. (8) Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. (9) This is my command-be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."

WE ARE EQUIPPED AS WE BUILD THE CHURCH TOGETHER

    Ephesians 4:11-13 NLT

Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. (12) Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. (13) This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God's Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.

HONOR GODLY LEADERSHIP (THAT SERVES LIKE JESUS!)

    Mark 10:45 NLT

For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.

GET A VISION FOR LEADERSHIP IN CHURCH

    1 Timothy 3:1 GNT

This is a true saying: If a man is eager to be a church leader, he desires an excellent work.

    BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS!

  • Who's Coaching You? // Monty Plummer

A coach can help you reach your greatest potential. But there is only one coach that can guide you to the best life, and He is Jesus. In this week’s message, Ps Monty shares how you can let Jesus be your coach so you can live the great life He has planned for you.

    --------------------------

    WHO’S COACHING YOU?

    Ephesians 4:11-12 NLT

Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. (12) Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.

    John 4:13-14 NLT

Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, (14) but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

    Matthew 16:21-26 NLT

From then on Jesus began to tell his disciples plainly that it was necessary for him to go to Jerusalem, and that he would suffer many terrible things at the hands of the elders, the leading priests, and the teachers of religious law. He would be killed, but on the third day he would be raised from the dead. (22) But Peter took him aside and began to reprimand him for saying such things. “Heaven forbid, Lord,” he said. “This will never happen to you!” (23) Jesus turned to Peter and said, “Get away from me, Satan! You are a dangerous trap to me. You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God’s.” (24) Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me. (25) If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it. (26) And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?

    FOLLOWER OR FAN?

    HIS WORD

    2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. (17) God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

    HIS PEOPLE

    HIS SPIRIT

    John 16:13 NLT

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.

  • Equip Believers // Rod Plummer

God wants to equip you so you can live out the great plans He has for your life. This week, Pastor Rod teaches us how God equips us in three powerful ways so we can become strong in Him.

    -------------------------

    EQUIP BELIEVERS

    HONOR GOD

    EQUIP BELIEVERS

    SHARE GOOD NEWS

    Ephesians 4:11-14 NIV

Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. (12) Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. (13) This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. (14) Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth.

    Ephesians 4:15-16 NIV

Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. (16) He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love."

    Matthew 4:21 NIV

Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them…

    Matthew 16:17-18 NIV

Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon (hears from God) son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.

    (18) And I tell you that you are Peter, (petros - rock) and on this rock (petra - huge rock) I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

WE ARE CHANGED IN JESUS' PRESENCE

    Acts 4:13 NIV

When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.

    HE HEALS THE BROKENHEARTED

    Luke 4:18 NKJV

The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted.

WE ARE EQUIPPED WITH EVERY SUPERNATURAL WORD FROM GOD

    Matthew 4:4 NIV

Jesus answered, “It is written: “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

    1 Timothy 1:18 ERV

Timothy, you are like a son to me. What I am telling you to do agrees with the prophecies that were told about you in the past. I want you to remember those prophecies and fight the good fight of faith.

    Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV

Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, (21).equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

  • Keep The Main Thing The Main Thing - Jesus // Monty Plummer

Life is busy, and it’s easy to get worried or overwhelmed. But God asks us to prioritize just one thing, and promises that when we do, we will find peace. Discover what our #1 priority should be in this week’s message from Pastor Monty.

    ---------------------------

KEEP THE MAIN THING THE MAIN THING: JESUS

    HONOR GOD IN OUR PRIORITIES

    Luke 10:38-42 NLT

As Jesus and the disciples continued on their way to Jerusalem, they came to a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. (39) Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught. (40) But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.” (41) But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! (42) There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.”

    Psalm 100:2 KJV

    Serve the Lord with gladness!

WHEN YOU HAVE THE WRONG PRIORITIES YOU BECOME THE WORST VERSION OF YOURSELF.

    ~ MELIZA

ONE OF THE BIGGEST INDICATORS OF WRONG PRIORITIES IS A LOSS OF JOY.

    WITH OUR TIME

    PUT JESUS FIRST

    Matthew 6:33-34 NIV

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (34) Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

    DON'T GET DISTRACTED

    Hebrews 12:2 NLT

We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.

The way we fix our eyes on Jesus is through Thankfulness

    Philippians 4: 6-7 NLT

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. (7) Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

  • Does God Care About My Finances? // Richard Welsh

It can be exciting to earn money and scary to lose it. But in the Bible, God calls us to honor Him with our finances. In this week’s message, find out what it means to honor God with your finances and how trusting God with your money becomes a great blessing for your life.

    --------------------------

DOES GOD CARE ABOUT MY FINANCES?

    Proverbs 3:9-10 NLT

Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. (10) Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.

    Matthew 6:21 AMP

for where your treasure is, there your heart [your wishes, your desires; that on which your life centers] will be also.

    GOD WANTS OUR HEART

    Luke 19:1-2 NLT

Jesus entered Jericho and made his way through the town. (2) There was a man there named Zacchaeus. He was the chief tax collector in the region, and he had become very rich.

    Luke 19:5-9 NLT

When Jesus came by, he looked up at Zacchaeus and called him by name. "Zacchaeus!" he said. "Quick, come down! I must be a guest in your home today." (6) Zacchaeus quickly climbed down and took Jesus to his house in great excitement and joy. (7) But the people were displeased. "He has gone to be the guest of a notorious sinner," they grumbled. (8) Meanwhile, Zacchaeus stood before the Lord and said, "I will give half my wealth to the poor, Lord, and if I have cheated people on their taxes, I will give them back four times as much!" (9) Jesus responded, "Salvation has come to this home today, for this man has shown himself to be a true son of Abraham.

    Matthew 6:24 NLT

No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.

    Matthew 6:31-33 NLT

So don't worry about these things, saying, “What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?” (32) These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. (33) Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

    HONOR GOD WITH WISE STEWARDSHIP

    Proverbs 21:5 NLT

Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.

    HONOR GOD WITH DILIGENT TITHING

    Malachi 3:10 NLT

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do," says the LORD of Heaven's Armies, "I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won't have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!

    Hebrews 7:8 NKJV

Here mortal men receive tithes, but there he receives them, of whom it is witnessed that he lives.

    HONOR GOD WITH VISIONARY OFFERINGS

PUT YOUR TRUST IN JESUS TO SUPPLY (NOT YOUR FINANCIAL CAPACITY)!

    Philippians 4:19 NLT

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.
