Lifepointe Church Sermons

Pastor Jeff talks about how we are living in a world of competing voices. Some of these voices want to trick you into false beliefs. We need to "test the spirits" and know that if it truly is the Holy Spirit, there will be comfort, confidence, life and peace!

Scripture tells us to "test the spirits" in our everyday lives. A sure-fire way to know when something is the Holy Spirit: it's a Spirit of LIFE!

In this short introduction, Pastor Jeff looks at a simple yet profound way we can see the Holy Spirit leading us in our everyday lives. Just like a traffic light at an intersection, there's a red, a yellow and a green light!

Pastor Tyler seals our Back To Life series with Communion and a good word about God's good Word! Nothing is better for our total person well-being. A light in our eyes, a song in our heart and food for our soul!

Pastor Russell find God in the Rocky movies. It's the greatest underdog story. The scrappy Rocky Balboa who picks himself up off the ground and gets back up to fight. We can have this same experience with Jesus!

Pastor Jeff finds God in the classic film genre: The Western! A hero rides into town to defeat the villain in a showdown. We can see this story play out in the Bible and ultimately in the victory won by Jesus!

Pastor Jason finds God in the Minecraft Movie! Looking at the record breaking movie as well as the record breaking game that inspired it, Jason sees the Scriptures come alive. The Creator has put us in a world of adventure and calls us to follow Jesus: the one who came into the world to be one of us.

Pastor Chick finds God in the Superhero genre. Disney's Thunderbolts are a rag-tag group of misfits with horrible things in their past. Humanity finds itself in the same boat. We can take heart in the fact that that we are not alone and that the God who loves is, is with us until the very end!

In the aftermath of a dark week in our country, Pastor Jeff led a powerful worship service where we looked to a good God who brings light out of the darkness and hope to our world. We looked at 5 ways we can hear God speak to us in these challenging times.

Pastor Jeff talks about how God created us to live in community! He redeemed us by His love to experience that same kind of love with one another.
