Because your identity shapes the way you live, Paul begins Philippians by reminding believers that their true identity is not found in their accomplishments, failures, or circumstances, but in belonging to Christ, a foundation that brings grace, peace, joy, and faithful living in every circumstance.

Faith is not measured by whether God always delivers us from suffering, but by whether we continue trusting Christ through both the mountaintops and the valleys because He is always worthy of our faith.
