Life’s a B

Hello loyal listeners....we are back!  In this unedited episode we share a little bit about why we've been absent (as though anyone was wondering) and what's been going on in our lives.  Mother's Day felt like the right time to talk about it.  I hope you all have a great Mother's Day and either get spoiled or spoil the Mom in your life!

In this episode, I sit down with my best friend from college to reminisce about our study abroad trip to Mexico.  Sometimes as Moms, we look back and can hardly remember the people we used to be.  This story seems like lifetimes ago, and sometimes like it wasn't even my life at all!  Here, we recap a particular part of our trip where we hopped a bus to Acapulco and had the WILDEST two days we ever could have dreamed up.  From all things bungee jumps...to the most INSANE wedding we had no business being at...we recap it all! 

In this episode, I run through my B's of the week, including the high of launching a podcast and the reality of narrating your days till the end of time as a parent.  I also fumble my way through talking about wanting to get back to a place of childhood confidence based on finding the first portrait of myself that my kid drew years ago.  If we could all be as confident as our children.....what a better life that would be. 

Being a SAHM versus being a working outside the home mom are both hard.  They are very different kinds of hard...and for me...being a SAHM is a lot more difficult for me than being a corporate mom because I'm new at it.  I hold myself to a high standard and right now I don't feel like I'm meeting that.  Don't get me wrong...I am very grateful for the opportunity to be able to stay home with my kids during this season of their lives...but being real....it's HARD.  Mentally hard and hard on my patience.  But like everything else....i'm CONFIDENT that with a little practice I will get this figured out!

In this inaugural and awkward first episode of the podcast I keep things real short and sweet by introducing my B's of the week and opening the door for future episodes of self discovery, parenthood discussions, life talk, and everything in between.  Welcome, and thanks for listening!
