On this weeks episode I get to speak to an Emmy Award winning friend and fellow rugby league fan Sam Hayward.

Sam and I met earlier this year at NRL magic round through the "This Week In League" podcast group and have become friends over our love of all things fandom , pop culture and so much more .

Sam was kind enough to sit down this week and go over some of the highlights of his career. Sam is an award winning sound artist and mixer and was successful in winning a prestigious Emmy Award.

Sam is insanely talented and extremely prolific some of his work has included but not limited to : The Great Gatsby , The Lego Movie , Happy Feet and much more...

He spoke about the genesis of his career and what life is like working in the entertainment industry. We also have a good chat about pop culture and so much more ..

On this episode I get to speak to a figure in the Australian Entertainment industry whose work I have admired for a long time meet Alex Dyson .

Whether he is out there DJing , Emceeing , Public speaking at an event or performing stand up Alex definitely knows how to work an event and create many laughs.

Or perhaps you may have heard him host "Triple J Breakfast" with Tom Ballard or Matt Okine (Matt's was on a previous episode). Over the years the nation has fallen involve with this funny and enjoyable lad on the national radio broadcaster . Known for loving music and attending just about every gig / festival / event for the last decade there isn't much Alex doesn't know about music .

I invite you to listen to today's chat as he was very generous with his time and opens up about the genesis of his career and some of the stories that go with staying successful within the confines of the Australian entertainment industry.

On This week Special Episode I sit down with an Incredibly talented Australian artist.

Merging as a new addition to Australia’s growing pop music community, Sydney-based musician Charley is someone that encapsulates the talent and prowess of the genre’s arena-selling stars with the forward-thinking creativity of its limitless next generation.

On this very special episode I get to meet another member from the greatest band of all time 'The Jezabels'. I'd love to introduce Heather Shannon !.

Heather is a brilliant and dynamic musician. After graduating from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with a Bachelor in Piano Performance, she became best known for her work as one quarter of internationally renowned independent rock band, The Jezabels. Heather has spent over a decade writing and recording award winning albums and performing in venues such as Sydney Opera House, The O2 Arena (London), Webster Hall (New York) and at festivals such as Lollapalooza (Chicago), and Glastonbury (UK).

After the band went on Hiatus in 2017 Heather revisited her classical music roots and after sometime spent in Iceland she has completed her first solo album .

"Midnight Sun" is a collection of solo piano pieces that are truly amazing to listen to and I am generally not a classical music listener however in this circumstance I have it on regular rotation . Heather opens up about her time in the music industry (so far) and chats about what its like to be a composer and performer in two very different musical worlds and about the genesis of both her own career and how 'The Jezabels' started out.

She was also very open with her stories shared we hear just how brave she is having defeated cancer twice already in her young life you listeners will see why this is my episode to date. I encourage you to listen to the end Heather has allowed me to play on of the pieces of her album "Cradle"

Ok Ok .. Straight up this episode Is absolutely hilarious even for my standards. I had the pleasure recently of making a new friend with an awesome story . Meet Proud Indigenous Australian and Christian Thomas Graham .

Like myself he is a Newcastle based legend ! . He's a man of many talents and today he walks us through his amazing story addressing his proud heritage and his strong faith and some of the hardships that can come with walking two paths . I connected with him through Alan Stevens (Episode 24 ) and we hit it off straight away..

On Todays episode I speak well with what the title suggests it's Super Woman! . Meet Cris Santos she's a hard working woman who has had a lot of success when it comes to her career and other avenues in life and after you see her achievements (so far) you'll see why . She's come to call Australia home and she is absolutely killing it in life .

She has a masters degree in Linguistics and is fluent in 5+ languages . She is an incredible photographer/runs a fashion empire (Luna Blue Girl). She's also the Author of over ten books , runs a fashion magazine , blogger , social media influencer of over 50K followers, she's a stylist and on top of all this she's a hard working single mum !
