David had to defeat Goliath before he was elevated. Elevations never come without giants being slayed. When we are about to rise, giants show up. This should be a sign that God is about to do something amazing in our lives. There is always a fight before you rise! Let us not see the giant only, but we must see God. He's standing with us and fighting for us.

Rest. We all want it, but so many of us still have not found rest. Rest can only be found in God. He gives an invitation to come to him. When we come to him we must give him control and learn from his ways. Let Him direct and lead you and then we can experience rest in him. Rest is a gift from God and he wants to give each and every one of us this rest. God knows what we are built for and he knows our capacity. Rest is extended today, will you accept it?

God wants to take your stuff and give you rest. He says, "Let's make an exchange." Could it be that what you are carrying is too heavy for you? Could it be that you've taken the controls out of God's hands? Now you're doing it on your own without God's direction. I submit to you that when things get so heavy, you could have taken back control from God, and you're back in the driver's seat. There can be no takebacks when we make an exchange with God. God's making an exchange, Will you accept it with no takebacks?

We carry so much that we need an outlet, a place of solace and rest. Today, Jesus invites all weary, tired, and burdened to come and find rest for their souls in him. Do you need rest today? You can have it in Christ Jesus. He wants to take your heaviness and give you what light: rest. Will you accept the invitation today?

Scared of trying, fearful of the unknown and the "what ifs." thinking that it is too hard, hoping, wishing, and desiring better, but it never comes. Taking the steps necessary to possess what God has for you will take faith and works. It does not come by wishing and desiring but by walking in faith and not sight. Today, God wants you to know that the first step is on you, and if you take that step, he will help you to take the next.

This is the last installment in our humility series. I pray that it has blessed you and that you will remain humble or begin to walk in humility. May God give us the spirit of humility to come before Him and have a deep relationship with Him like never before. He will bless the humble, but the proud he stays far from. I want to be close to God, how about you? God bless you.
