The secret to a long, full, and meaningful life is to learn authority orientation at home as you grow up. This is how we overcome our arrogant tendencies that lead to self-destruction. “Honor your father and mother as the Lord your God has commanded you that your days may be prolonged” (Deut 5:16). Without the appreciation and respect of your parents, you’ll have a flawed life. Authority orientation is critical for your spiritual life. God wants you to use divine wisdom to redeem your time wisely. “Redeem the time” (Eph 5:16). Learning and applying God’s Word can add days to your life. The world's lures will seek to distract you from wisely redeeming your time. There is a real danger in experimenting with the things the world offers.
