There is a real danger in experimenting with things the world offers. ’Sowing a few wild oats.’ It can build up scar tissue in the soul to the point of losing all norms and standards. “They are alienated from the life of God [God’s plan for your life] through the ignorance [lack of knowledge of God’s Word] that is in them because of the blindness of their heart” (Eph 4:18). If your heart becomes hard, you no longer feel conviction. “Who being past feelings [no more conviction, no more feeling anything wrong] have betrayed themselves into sin to work it with greed, but you did not learn this from Jesus Christ” (Eph 4:19). Guilt will manipulate you and destroy you. Don’t let it happen. Rebound and get back to studying God’s Word and acquiring Biblical standards to guide and protect you. Going down the My Way Highway is the wrong way. It’s a dead end.
